About Hillcountry Networks

Hillcountry Networks was established in March of 2001 to bring a community oriented wireless network to the Hill Country. Our mission is to bring internet connectivity to rural or underserviced communities and homes.

We are a limited liability corporation registered in the state of Texas. We have owned property in Hays county since 1968. Our mom was Dripping Springs school superintendent in the early 1970's.

We decided in 2001 to bring internet connections to our own home here and later expanded that effort into a small community focused operation providing an alternative to other options such a dial-up, satellite internet, and other wireless internet providers, including those in bankruptcy or near bankruptcy today. Unlike most startup tech ventures, we have had a positive cash flow since our 3rd month of operation. Our intent is to grow slow, know our customers, and provide the best service possible and still deliver our connections at prices comparable to big city DSL prices.
